Qlar combines the best of two worlds for efficient rail freight transport
At the InnoTrans trade fair from 24 to 27 September in Berlin, Qlar, formerly Schenck Process, will be presenting dynamic, legal-for-trade weighing of wagons with the MULTIRAIL Train Scale products and digital yard management with the LOGiQ software in Hall 23 (Booth 355). The combination of these two solutions is the key to safe and efficient rail freight transport. They can also be used to conveniently control mixed traffic in the yard of cement or steel plants.
Safety and efficiency are not mutually exclusive in rail transport. This is what the long-established Darmstadt-based company Qlar, formerly Schenck Process, is demonstrating at InnoTrans in Berlin. The expert in mission-critical applications for bulk materials has optimised dynamic, legal-for-trade weighing on the track with its MULTIRAIL train scale product range. With the help of LOGiQ software, rail freight transport is also seamlessly integrated into the yard management of a cement or steel plant. Digitalisation is not an end in itself, but a powerful tool for process optimisation.
Perfect for mixed traffic in a plant yard
With its weighing systems and intelligent software solutions, Qlar combines expertise from both areas: Dynamic weighing enables smooth rail transport without wasting time, and legal-for-trade technology also makes the systems suitable for sales transactions. Time-consuming static weighing is no longer necessary with the MULTIRAIL systems. The LOGiQ yard management software also monitors and controls all logistical processes in the yard. In combination with MULTIRAIL technology, incoming and outgoing raw materials and goods are weighed and recorded quickly and efficiently. For example, the CO2 footprint of a plant can be calculated and documented. Data from external interfaces can also be securely integrated with LOGiQ. This makes the products ideal for mixed traffic in a plant yard.
Wayside train monitoring for greater operational safety
Qlar technology also enhances rail safety: MULTIRAIL Wayside Train Monitoring detects irregularities in the load distribution of the wagons and flat spots on the wheels at line speed. The system provides early warning, enabling proactive maintenance. Qlar systems are suitable for all wagon types and train formations. The company also offers solutions for the maintenance and production of rolling stock. The tried and tested MULTIRAIL Test Bench portfolio allows, among other things, bogie testing, wheel force measurements or corner load measurements on vehicle bodies.
Qlar's experts will be on hand at stand 355 in hall 23 at InnoTrans in Berlin from 24 to 27 September to explain how the various systems work together to make rail freight transport safer and more efficient. More information here.
