Diverter valves direct bulk solids into different destinations as part of a dilute or dense phase pneumatic conveying system. Typically, they help convey material from one source to two destinations (or reverse). Schenck Process offers a number of two destination valve models, but also offers a valve that diverts product flow from one source into one of three destinations. The name of this valve is called the 3-Way “Y” valve. It is designed with one straight through leg and two 30˚ off-vertical-centerline legs to divert product flow.
Many of the diverter valves offered by Schenck Process come equipped in either 30˚ or 45˚divert angles and one model is designed with a 22.5˚ angle. Convey line pressures up to 110 psi can be handled.
